Out of Character:
So, seeing as I’m entirely in love with plotting things out before doing them, and also completely in love with this tumblrplay thing we’ve got going… I’m going to be keeping track of relationships on this here page. Basically, that means any kind of relationship. Bromance, hatred, rivalry, etc. Drop a note in my inbox and we can plot it out, then I’ll put it in here, yes?
Marlene McKinnon is beautiful, flawless, gorgeous, etc. One of my favorite people to exist.
Marlene is like… Cary’s idol. He’s helpless to pretty much everything she asks or does, which is weird because we all know how he usually is. But Cary adores everything she is and everything she does and probably would do anything for her. Not exactly sure how that even started out, but there you have it.
Fabian Prewett is a life-saver and a hero. I am obviously his other brother. I don’t know what I would do without him.
Fabian is actually the first person that Cary thinks of when people ask him who is best friend is, though he’s kind of tied on that front in actuality. They’re a lot alike; Fabian is the person that Cary best relates to on most fronts. When they spend too much time together, I think they probably just start to hate everyone else, but shh. Shh.
Gideon Prewett— you know, honestly, they’re both kind of twats. But I love them anyway.
Gideon would be Cary’s ideal man except that he’s Gid and the bromance must prevail (which Cary is okay with because he likes friendship more than romance. kind of obviously.) He needs Gid around because Fabian isn’t exactly as hard on him, and Gid is pretty much the only person who can get away with giving him extensive lectures without Cary running away in fear. Even if he is a teensy bit afraid of him. He can’t be around Gid too long without coming out of it feeling emotionally and mentally drained. But, um, his itsy bitsy boycrush means that he’ll probably stick around anyway ‘cause the last thing he wants to do is disappoint.
Frank Longbottom is dating Alice Prewett, so it’s like we’re related. :’D Really, though. What a great kid. Don’t tell him I said that.
Frank is Cary’s bb. He teases him relentlessly and tends to force him into doing things, but Cary feels a surprising amount of responsibility towards him. Especially surprising considering the fact that Cary doesn’t tend to feel responsible for anyone. It’s like an older brother sort of thing. He will cut any bitch who opts to mess with Frank. Just saying.
Charity Burbage is absolutely adorable. But she needs to get out more. That lovely mane of hair belongs somewhere other than the library. :I
Cary sees Charity as kind of a little sister, even though she’s usually a lot more mature and calm than he is. He considers it his job and a primary goal in his life to push her to do exciting things. But at the same time he gets pretty ferocious towards people who mess with her. And he likes her hair.
Lucius Malfoy is blonde…? I’m apparently his bb. Whatever that means. He’s okay, considering.
Whatever friendship there is between Lulu and Cary is just weird. Pretty sure everyone knows that Cary is far from pro-blood supremacy, but until Lucius expresses his actual views around him or against someone actually important to Cary (cough see above cough) then he’s pretty capable of pretending that he doesn’t know that the Malfoys are just like his padres. I’m pretty sure that he’s aware that their sort-of friendship thing can’t actually last that long, so it’s not really a surprise that he’s not super reliant or personal about it. Still, ice cream triumphs over most things.
Tessa Zabini is everyone’s ideal woman. <3
Tessa is basically an endless source of amusement for Cary. Plus he happens to think that she’s the most beautiful person of all time, so if he was ever forced to marry someone, it would probably be her. Just saying. He’s not even concerned about her cats or her self-infatuation— but he is worried about her inability to fly. x:
Gemma Davies is also a good plan. She’s a good person to trust, if you have to pick someone.
Gemma bo bemma is pretty much a professional when it comes to unintentionally making Cary uncomfortable. Please examine the “Abort Mission” and “Here have this scarf” scenarios if you require further proof. She’s nice to him and he doesn’t get it, but he still tries to be nice back. Mostly everything is spiffy between them, even though Cary is sometimes painfully awkward. Oh, well.
Remus Lupin is not my friend.
… Well. Cary has a lot of mixed feelings about Lupin. On the one hand, he feels bad for crushing Remus’s dreams or whatever, but mostly he feels like it was perfectly okay for him to “set him straight.” On the other hand, he just kinds of hates him. Apparently he’s being irrational and rude and he picked on Frank. Apparently.
Jackson May is confusing. But he’s also warm and has good taste in ice cream, so it’s okay.
First off, by Cary’s standards, everyone has good taste in ice cream, as long as they like it.At the moment, Cary likes Jackson. He didn’t for a while there, since the whole ‘forcibly shoving you out of the closet’ thing wasn’t working out, but the whole ‘i hate you because you’re a heartless prick’ thing hurt more than he’ll admit. Shh.
